What is Memoca?
Memoca is a language-learning workspace. You capture words and phrases you hear, read, or get from a tutor, and Memoca automatically adds the pronunciation, translation, and a short grammar note, then helps you remember them with spaced-repetition practice.
Which languages does Memoca support?
Today Memoca supports learning Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and French, with English explanations. More languages are added as the community asks for them.
Is Memoca free?
Yes. The Free plan ($0 forever) includes unlimited pages and entries, auto-enrichment, the Memoca AI chat agent, and flashcard practice, with a 200K monthly token allowance. Pro ($10/month) raises the allowance to 2M tokens, increases the per-page entry limit, and adds CSV/JSON export and the natural-voice pronunciation coach.
How does auto-enrichment work?
When you capture a phrase, Memoca generates its pronunciation guide, an English translation, and a brief grammar note in the background, so you never type flashcard backs by hand. You can edit anything it produces.
What is spaced repetition?
Spaced repetition shows you each phrase right before you're likely to forget it, stretching the interval as your memory strengthens. Memoca uses an FSRS-based scheduler to decide what's due each day.
Can the AI generate phrases for me?
Yes. The Memoca AI chat agent can draft phrases on a topic, organize entries across pages, and bulk-edit your workspace. It proposes changes and waits for you to approve them.
Can I export my data?
Pro users can export their entries as CSV or JSON at any time. Export is on the roadmap for additional formats.
Is my data private?
Your workspace is private to your account. Data is isolated per user and enforced on the server, not just in the browser.
